Coordinated by some four volunteers, the students and teachers were drilled and given tips on how to get clean water in areas where there’s no potable water. They were also taught methods of water purification.

The teachers and students of Champions International Bilingual Secondary and High School, Nkolfoulou were also taught the importance of Africa preserving its water, and the need to fight against the privatisation of water.

At the school, the ACA team also donated 10 adapted drinking buckets to assist the school so that it can provide safe drinking water for its students and staff, on campus. Stickers with advocacy messages were also handed out to the students.

The ACA team said in line with the 2023 theme, they are “urging all Africans to join hands and protect our water sources against privatization from corporate bodies”.
